The Mediation Process
In mediation couples work together with a professional mediator to reach agreement on:
- How and when to separate
- Parenting issues and plans (including custody & access)
- Child support
- Spousal support
- Division of property
- Other important issues regarding separation and divorce.
Couples may choose to resolve all issues or only some issurs through family Mediation. Which issues (perhaps all) to resolve all issues or oly some issues through mediation and which issues (if any) to resolve by other means, such as negotiations between the parties' lawyers, arbitration by a judge or other professional.
