Cost and Duration

Fees for mediation services are geared to income and range from $5 to $95 per person per hour.

On average, most mediations take between six and nine hours to complete depending on the following factors:

• The number of issues to be mediated
• The nature of issues to be mediated: emotionality, and complexity
• The amount of conflict between the parties
• The degree of communication & co-operation between parties
• Whether the children and/or others are to be involved

Each family’s needs for time and ability to pay will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the start of mediation.
